Beginner

Beginner Junior Lessons Ages 5-9

These group lessons are for children that have no or very little experience.

Special, low compression bounce balls, mini nets and modified size of the court will be used.

The focus will be on developing eye-hand coordination and rally skills. Juniors will be learning how to receive and send balls at different height and distance.  The session will cover forehand, backhand volley and introduction to serve. 

Beginner Junior Lessons Ages 10-16

The Lessons are for junior who have no or verry little previous experience. Players will be introcuded to proper grips, forehand, backhand, volley and work on reception and projection skills (hight, distance and direction)  Basic rules and game management skills will be covered.

Low-Intermediate

Junior Low Intermediate Lessons Ages 9-16 

The lessons are for children that have completed at least one or two sessions of beginner lessons or are able to rally 3-4 times across the net at 3/4 of the court.

This session will continues working on improving rally skills, serve and return of serve. Proper grips on ground strokes, net play and serve will be emphasized. There will be introduction to overhead, basic tactics and strategy for singles and doubles as well as to directional control. Basic rules and tennis etiquette will be reviewed.

Intermediate

Junior Intermediate Group Lessons ages 10-16

These group lessons are for children that have completed at least one or two sessions of low intermediate lessons or are able to rally 5-6 times across the net at full court. Players must be able to serve and return full court as well as have the knowledge of proper grips for ground strokes, serves and volleys.

Players will be introduced to phases of play (rallying, attacking, defending), spins (top spin and slice) and defensive lob . The group will continues mastering reception and projection skills previously learned in the low intermediate lessons (height, distance, direction). Proper court coverage will be emphasized for singles and doubles play.
